On behalf of all the volunteers, staff and Board members of CSA, we wish everyone a happy and healthy new year!

Through everyone’s efforts, Common Sense for Animals is starting the new year with a newly renovated shelter building. If you haven’t had the chance to stop in and see the success, please do!

2010 promises to be an even bigger year for CSA. Our annual events such as the motorcycle rally, golf outing and tricky tray have experienced increased attendance year after year. CSA staff and volunteers are working hard to make these events bigger then ever!

Everything done by the staff and volunteers directly benefits the animals under our care. CSA runs several successful programs such as Southern Dog Rescue, a feral cat program, pet therapy and educational outreach. All adoption fees, donations and efforts help CSA volunteers and staff continue this work which benefits the animals, our community, our children and the environment.

Please stop in at CSA in New Village or visit our website ( http://www.commonsenseforanimals.org/ ) for more information on how you can get involved!

Thank you for being a friend of Common Sense for Animals!
Now lets get on with 2010!

Wow! What a month May is turning out to be!

CSA continues to move along with progress on renovations to the new facility. We hope to be moved in early this summer. CSA was blessed with many donations which allowed us to do things right. The cats will have four seperate areas in which to play. Our dog kennels now have newly poured runs and fencing. Plumbing and electrical are coming along. We’ve had donations in the areas of telecom and data networks. Mike Mollo has done a wonderful job in bringing everything together. We’re shooting for mid-to-late June to move in!

CSA events have a great deal of support from our board and the community. This year’s golf tournament, motorcycle rally, dog walk and tricky tray look to exceed last year in terms of participation as well as refinement.

2008 was the year CSA got its “spark.” 2009 is where we truly ignite. CSA invites you to get involved. If you have a talent you feel would benefit the organization, please let us know! From hammering a nail to walking a dog to coding a website, Common Sense for Animals would welcome the help! Please contact Ellie at 908-859-3060 for more information.

If you haven’t already done so, check out CSA’s website at http://www.commonsenseforanimals.org/ for more information about our many causes as well as upcoming events and how you can help!

Events are shaping up. The motorcycle rally and food fest plans are finalized and posted on our website’s events page along with the golf outing details. We opened our new online store to allow signup for these events and will be adding other offerings in the near future. We have several new Board members who are wanting to help with events, workflow, publicity and anything else that can benefit the animals or help to advance our causes.

If you haven’t done so, please visit our website - http://www.commonsenseforanimals.org/ - and read about our six divisions as well as our many programs including pet therapy and community outreach. CSA is much more than a shelter!

If you’d like to get involved in CSA, we would welcome your help! Contact Ellie at 908-859-3060 for more information on how you can help CSA!
